Keynote speech by EAC President Leonard de Wit at EAA 2017

EAC President Leonard de Wit was one of the keynote speakers at the 23rd Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

With his speech ‘Why do archaeologists need international law?’ he triggered the symposium attendees to think about the origins of international law and to be careful with high expectations on what international law can do for archaeological heritage. His speech was part of a session focussed on the necessity of a new global convention.
