The Board of the European Archaeological Council meets several times a year to discuss and give direction to the Council’s activities. Meetings take place at different locations, usually at the invitation of one of the archaeological heritage management organisations in Europe. When the Board is invited to hold their meeting, the host often provides a report on the archaeological heritage management system in their country or region.
